I'm reading a book called: Northen Lights.

It's a book from a series 'HIS DARK MATERIALS'. It's set in a universe similar to ours but different in many ways. Everyone has their own dæmons. Some of the main characters are: Lyra Belacqua, Pantalaimon (Lyra's dæmon), Roger Parslow (Lyra's best friend who works as a cook in Jordan College), Lord Asriel (Lyra's uncle) and Marisa Coulter (Lyra's guardian who claims to be her mother). So far Lyra has entered the Retiring Room which NO ONE is aloud to enter except the butler, scholars and the master. Lyra sneaks in with Pantalaimon but the master is coming so she has to hide in the cupboard. The master and the librarian are planning to kill Lyra's uncle she has to stop them...

I've read more of the book (that's the only the 1st chapter) but I don't want to bore you with this and I don't want to spoil the book for you in case your reading the book.
